Tonight! The ‘Cultuurnacht’ in Breda. Studio M will be represent at Werkplaats Raaf. We will show the new ‘identity’ of Raaf we designed and live printscreen tshirts, for a small price. Come by & say hi! :)

“Al het goede komt in drieën, zo ook Studio M. Wij zijn een collectief van drie illustratoren, ontstaan tijdens onze stage periode in het derde jaar van onze studie. Nu maken we ons op om af te studeren in juni 2010. De drie M’s werken binnen het collectief zelfstandig maar ook gezamenlijk aan projecten. Tijdens deze expositie laten we een selectie zien van eigen- en gezamenlijk werk. Oude technieken featuring nieuwe digitale kunsten, you name it! Komt dat zien!”

I’ll be showing a lot of old work, some new stuff I’m working on & our ’secret Studio M project’. :)

Happy belated new year! Make it a good one. All I’ve been doing this year beside avoiding tons of snow and cold up here is writing my bachelor thesis. The subject is: “The black hole in the Illustration world, and how to avoid it”. The conclusion will be published in the digital Avans newsletter section “Kunst&Werk”. Next to that I’ll write about my thesis at the IllustratieBureauCairo blog in a week. The image above is just a random joke, because I’m so happy that I booked a trip to Marrakesh, Morocco. &I just got back from Chicago, USA. Travelling is good! More news: I’m starting my graduation project with Esther Haamke pretty soon! Can’t wait to start working on it. Details will follow. + A new exhibition is coming up. “Studio M presenteert” in febuary in Den Bosch. Invitations will follow soon! Ciao!

ECU’92 (Economie Combinatie Utrecht) asked me to design a poster, a flyer, the website and a promo movie for their Company Day, coming up January 14th. Website isn’t on line yet, but the posters, the flyers and the movie are out there now! If you’re an economic student at the University of Utrecht, go check it out :) I really enjoyed working on this job.
