ASIS (Avans School of International Studies) sent out an email to all the students, for a contest. There happen to be two empyt walls in the school, that needed a little ‘international’ character to it. Since it has a alot of international students, etc. I called up two classmates, and we decided to go for it. In just a couple of days we came up with a big concept, and a couple of sketches. There is one small wall, where we will work out the first sketch. It shows of the world. The colors/bans stands for all the international contacts and connections we have all over the world, etc. On the big wall we’ll paint a ton of different people, all wearing different shirts. On the shirts we’ll paint flags, representing the countries. That way it will be a colorfull wall, and every country gets as much attention as the other.

I made a real pretty-small-hand-made-book with all these illustrations, named ‘Voorkom een blauwtje op het strand’. I showed this book with many other hand-made books at my exposition @ Kunstschouw. But unfortunately some person liked this little book that much, that he/she took it with her/him. Or maybe he/she thought it was a take-away-book. Don’t know what happened. But if you happen to be this person, please contact me. Cuz I would really like this book back!
